Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the FlapBoard and FlapBoard Remote apps and related services (the "Service"), provided by FlapBoard LLC ("FlapBoard," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

FlapBoard turns an iPad into a split-flap display for your household. The FlapBoard Remote app lets you manage accounts, boards, and content; the FlapBoard app displays a board you have created. Some features require an active subscription.

Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You are responsible for the content you create and display through the Service.

Subscriptions, billing, and free trial

• FlapBoard offers auto-renewing subscriptions: Monthly ($3.99/month) and Annual ($39.99/year), each starting with a 7-day free trial. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the app before purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account upon confirmation of purchase (or at the end of the free trial, if applicable).
• Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period at the then-current price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings. Canceling stops future renewals; the current paid period continues until it ends.
• If you do not cancel a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Purchases are processed by Apple and are also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant FlapBoard a limited license to store, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service for you. You agree not to use the Service to store or display content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or that infringes the rights of others.

Third-party information — accuracy disclaimer

The Service displays flight and weather information obtained from third-party providers. This information is provided "as is" and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Do not rely on FlapBoard for travel, safety, or other critical decisions. Always confirm flight and weather details with your airline and official sources.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it in unauthorized ways, interfering with its operation, or using it to violate any law or the rights of others.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, FlapBoard LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us or other users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
